THE WRONG PATIENT

.

It’s not that she no longer knows

the reason for her tears

It’s not that she no longer feels

the pain of all those years

.

It’s not that she no longer cares

to make her daily calls

It’s not that she no longer stays

confined within her walls.

.

It’s just that now she doesn’t see

a reason to go on

It’s just there’s nothing left that’s right

in a world where she’s

so wrong.

.

Not any longer

Nothing particularly interesting to say about myself other than after 27 years working as a GP, I was delighted, at the start of December 2023, to start work as the South West Regional Representative of the Slavic Gospel Association (SGA). You can read about what they do at sga.org.uk. I am also an avid Somerset County Cricket Club supporter and a poor example of a Christian who likes to put finger to keyboard from time to time and who is foolish enough to think that someone out there might be interested enough to read what I've written. Some of these blogs have grown over time and some portions of earlier blogs reappear in slightly different forms in later blogs. I apologise for the repetition. If you are involved in a church in the southwest of England and would like to hear more of SGA’s work, do get in touch. I’d love to come and talk a little, or even a lot, about what they get up to!.
